ATTENTION: The Snapping Turtle is currently listed on "Canada's Endangered Species Law" yet anyone with a recreational hunting or fishing licence can KILL two a day. THIS IS WRONG, and should be STOPPED.
I caught this little guy/gal smack dab in the middle of a baseball diamond. Good thing the gulls didn't spot him/her. I snapped a few photos and I helped him/her to the nearby marsh.
